Author Guidelines

The authors who intend to publish their papers in Timisoara Journal of Economics and Business are kindly asked to send the manuscript properly structured and written in good English, taking into account the following:

0 - No fees

Currently, no access, publishing or any other fees are charged by our journal.

I - Preparing the paper and complete the Copyright Transfer Agreement

(1) Prepare the paper according to the template and following the guidelines.

II - Submitting the documents

The article (1) and a color scanned copy of the completed and signed Copyright Transfer Agreement (2) should be sent by e-mail to tjeb.editor[at]gmail.com

  • Only the papers that are prepared according to the template (1) will be included in the review process. Otherwise, the authors will be asked to re-submit the paper after proper corrections are made.

Authors need to be registered with the journal prior to submitting. For user registration, please contact tjeb.editor[at]gmail.com

Registered authors can simply log in and begin the five-step process.

III - The review process

Every manuscript submitted to TJEB will be first evaluated by the Editor. This initial evaluation is intended to check if:

  • the manuscript fits the journal focus and editorial policy;
  • the research is novel and original, without any scientific flaws, and uses sound methodologies;
  • the manuscript is properly structured and it is written in good English.

A manuscript which meets these minimal criteria will enter in a double-blind review process. The manuscript will be sent to two anonymous reviewers, chosen according to their expertise in the field of the paper. Each reviewer will provide a detailed report on the manuscript, based on the TJEB review form (.DOC .DOCX), and will make recommendations to the editor regarding the acceptance or rejection of the paper. Both reviewers' reports, along with Editor's own comments, will be made available to the author.

The author will be informed about the outcome of the review process, which could be:

  • Accept without revision.
  • Revise and resubmit - the author will be asked to make changes to the manuscript according to the reviewers' comments and suggestions and to resubmit the manuscript.
  • Reject – the editor will explain the reasons behind this editorial decision to the author.

IV - Other publishing issues

Only articles accepted by the scientific committee will be published.
Copyright terms are described in the Copyright Transfer Agreement (Licence to Publish).

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • Prepare the paper according to the Journal's template (see below); an abstract between 200 and 250 words; 4 up to 6 keywords; 2 to 4 JEL codes using a three digits description, i.e. A11 (https://www.aeaweb.org/jel/guide/jel.php)
  • Is the paper in English and in its final form?
  • Are the sections, tables and figures correctly numbered, with suitable titles, legends and sources?
  • Has the use of footnotes been minimized?
  • Are the graphics and mathematics presented clearly?
  • Are all in-text references (paraphrases and quotations) included in the reference list, at the end of the article?
  • All the entries from the reference list have at least one in-text reference?
  • Provide also DOIs (where available) in your Bibliography. (you may use: http://www.crossref.org)
  • Have you downloaded, completed and signed the Copyright Transfer Agreement, and made a color scanned copy?
  • Ensure a blind peer-review (prevent the identities of the authors and reviewers from being known to each other)
