Peer Review Process

Every manuscript submitted to TJEB will be first evaluated by the Editor. This initial evaluation is intended to check if:

  • the manuscript fits the journal focus and editorial policy;
  • the research is novel and original, without any scientific flaws, and uses sound methodologies;
  • the manuscript is properly structured and it is written in good English.

A manuscript which meets these minimal criteria will enter in a double-blind review process. The manuscript will be sent to two anonymous reviewers, chosen according to their expertise in the field of the paper. Each reviewer will provide a detailed report on the manuscript, based on the TJEB review form, and will make recommendations to the editor regarding the acceptance or rejection of the paper. Both reviewers' reports, along with Editor's own comments, will be made available to the author.

The author will be informed about the outcome of the review process, which could be:

  • Accept without revision.
  • Revise and resubmit - the author will be asked to make changes to the manuscript according to the reviewers' comments and suggestions and to resubmit the manuscript.
  • Reject – the editor will explain the reasons behind this editorial decision to the author.

No publishing or any other fees are charged by our journal.

Publication Frequency

Between 2008 and 2011 the journal has been published four issues each year.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
